1. Who we are
1.1 This store is operated by Newfound Digital Limited, a company incorporated in Hong Kong (Business Registration No. (BRN/UBI) 81391290) with its registered office at Unit B, 11/F, Yam Tze Commercial Building, 23 Thomson Road, Wan Chai, Hong Kong (Newfound, we, us). 1.2 We are an authorised reseller and merchant of record for Maps.me digital products, and are named as such in the Maps.me Terms of Service. When you buy from us, the sale contract is with us. The product itself (for example Maps.me Pro features or eSIM connectivity) is provided to you by the operator of Maps.me (Maps.me), identified in and under the Maps.me Terms of Service and Maps.me Privacy Policy.
1.3 These Terms, together with the Subscription Terms, eSIM Service Terms, Refund & Cancellation Policy and Privacy Policy, govern every purchase. By placing an order you accept them.
2. Who can buy
2.1 You must be at least 18 years old, able to enter a binding contract, and buying for your own personal use.
2.2 We do not sell to residents of the European Union, the United Kingdom, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway or Switzerland, or to persons located in countries we exclude for legal reasons. We may decline or cancel any order where your billing address, IP address or payment card indicates one of these locations, or where a sale would breach sanctions or export laws that apply to us.
2.3 You must give accurate billing and contact details and keep your Maps.me account identifier (phone number, email or user ID) correct so we can deliver.
3. Products
3.1 We sell entitlements to Maps.me digital products: Maps.me Pro subscriptions (monthly or annual), the Maps.me Pro Forever plan (a single payment for Pro for the life of the Maps.me service), Maps.me eSIM data packages, and other Maps.me digital content listed on the store, such as travel guides. Each product page states what is included, the duration or data allowance, and any device or compatibility requirements.
3.2 Forever plan. The Forever plan does not renew and has no end date. If Maps.me withdraws Maps.me Pro or ends the Maps.me service, you receive a refund of the price paid reduced pro rata over a period of five years from your purchase, or an equivalent replacement at your choice. Clause 12 applies to any other change.
3.3 Products are delivered to the Maps.me account or device you specify. You are responsible for checking that the product and your device meet the stated requirements before you buy.
4. Ordering and contract formation
4.1 Your order is an offer to buy. A contract is formed only when we send an order confirmation to your email address or deliver the product, whichever is first.
4.2 We may refuse any order, for example for suspected fraud, payment failure, pricing error, product unavailability or breach of these Terms. If we refuse an order after payment we refund it in full.
4.3 If a product is listed at an obviously incorrect price we may cancel the order and refund you before delivery.
5. Prices, currency and taxes
5.1 Prices are shown in US dollars, or in Russian roubles for buyers whose billing country is Russia, and include applicable sales taxes, VAT or GST where local law requires us to charge them; otherwise taxes are shown separately before you pay. We are responsible for collecting and remitting those taxes as merchant of record.
5.2 Your card issuer or bank may apply currency conversion or foreign transaction fees; those are not charged by us and are not refundable by us.
5.3 We may change prices at any time. Changes do not affect orders already confirmed. Subscription price changes are governed by the Subscription Terms.
6. Payment
6.1 Payment is taken at checkout through our payment provider. We accept the payment methods shown at checkout. You confirm you are authorised to use the payment method.
6.2 We never store full card numbers or security codes; our payment provider holds a secure token so that subscriptions can renew.
6.3 We and our payment provider may run fraud and sanctions screening, request additional verification, or require 3-D Secure authentication.
6.4 The description on your card statement will read NEWFOUND*MAPSME.
7. Delivery
7.1 Products are digital and are delivered immediately after payment is confirmed: Maps.me Pro is activated on your Maps.me account; eSIM packages are delivered by activation code, QR code or direct installation to your Maps.me eSIM profile; other content is unlocked in your Maps.me account.
7.2 You agree that delivery starts immediately on purchase. Where the law of your country gives you a right to cancel a distance contract within a cooling-off period, you expressly request immediate delivery and acknowledge that this right ends once delivery has started.
7.3 If a product is not delivered within 24 hours of payment, contact support@newfoundhk.com with your order number. We will deliver it or refund you in full.
8. Refunds and cancellation
8.1 Because products are digital and delivered immediately, all sales are final once delivered, except as set out in the Refund & Cancellation Policy or where your mandatory local law gives you additional rights.
8.2 You can cancel a subscription at any time so that it does not renew; see the Subscription Terms.
8.3 eSIM packages can be refunded only before the eSIM profile is installed, and after installation only where the eSIM Service Terms provide; see those Terms.
8.4 If you raise a chargeback with your bank for a product you received and kept, we may revoke the product and decline future orders. Please contact us first; most issues are resolved within one business day.
9. Your obligations
You must not: resell or transfer products; use products for any unlawful purpose; use false identity or payment details; interfere with the store or its security; or attempt to obtain products without paying. We may revoke products and close your store account for breach.
10. Intellectual property
Maps.me, the Maps.me logo and product names are trade marks of the owner of Maps.me, used by us under licence. The store, its design and text are owned by us. Nothing in these Terms gives you any right in those marks or materials beyond use of the product you bought.
11. Our liability
11.1 Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything that cannot be limited under the law that applies to you.
11.2 We are liable for failing to deliver a product you paid for and for loss directly caused by our breach of these Terms. Our total liability to you for any order is limited to the amount you paid for that order.
11.3 We are not liable for loss of profit, business or data, for indirect loss, for the performance, coverage or availability of the Maps.me service or any mobile network, or for your device's compatibility. Claims about the product or service itself are made to Maps.me under the Maps.me Terms of Service; we will help you reach them.
11.4 To the extent permitted by the laws of Hong Kong, including the Control of Exemption Clauses Ordinance (Cap. 71) and the Supply of Services (Implied Terms) Ordinance (Cap. 457), all terms implied by law are excluded except those that cannot be excluded.
12. Changes and discontinued products
If Maps.me discontinues a product you have prepaid, you will receive a pro-rata refund of the unused period or an equivalent replacement, at your choice. We may update these Terms; the version in force when you order applies to that order, and the current version applies to subscription renewals after we notify you.
13. Privacy and communications
We process your personal data as described in our Privacy Policy. We send order confirmations, receipts, renewal reminders and service notices to the email address you give us; these are not marketing messages. You agree that we may contract with you electronically under the Electronic Transactions Ordinance (Cap. 553).
14. Complaints and disputes
14.1 Write to support@newfoundhk.com first. We aim to respond within one business day and to resolve complaints within 14 days.
14.2 These Terms are governed by the laws of Hong Kong, and the courts of Hong Kong have non-exclusive jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, you keep any mandatory protection of the law of the country where you live, and you may bring a claim in that country's courts where its law allows.
15. General
These Terms are the whole agreement for your purchase. If any part is unenforceable the rest remains in force. We may transfer our rights to a successor who agrees to honour your orders. The owner of the Maps.me marks may enforce clauses 9 and 10 under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Ordinance (Cap. 623); no one else has third-party rights. We are not liable for delay caused by events beyond our reasonable control. The English version prevails over any translation.
