How the Maps.me eSIM works

  1. Install the profile once

    Your first purchase delivers a Maps.me eSIM profile by QR code, activation code or direct install. It stays on your phone.

  2. Add a package per trip

    Buy a country or regional package. It attaches to the profile you already have, so there is nothing to reinstall.

  3. Land and connect

    Validity starts when the package first connects in the coverage area. Unused data expires at the end of the validity period.

Check your phone first

You need an eSIM-capable, carrier-unlocked phone and a Wi-Fi or SIM connection to install. The same model may lack eSIM in some countries. Packages can't be refunded after the profile is installed, so please check before you buy.

Good to know

  • Data only: no calls, SMS or phone number. Keep your usual SIM for those.
  • A data-only eSIM cannot make emergency calls (112, 911, 999). Keep your primary SIM active when you travel.
  • Speeds depend on partner networks and your location; 4G/5G where available.
  • Some countries ask for ID registration or restrict VoIP apps. The destination page says so.
  • Refund in full until the profile is installed; see the eSIM Service Terms.
